Temporomandibular Joint dysfunction
Providing Everything You Need

TMJD treatments that land
This is the most recent specialized training I've taken. I am so excited to share this treatment with you.

I had oral surgery in 2011. My mucles tightened and I also sleep on my tummy with one cheek down. Over time I have started to develop muscular imbalance that is leading to jaw clicking and less symmetry in my face. During the training I attended I was the demo. I can't put into words the deep release that I experienced. My jaw feels so much better. Not only that but this style took a treatment I find uncomfortable and made it pleasurable. :

TMJD Symptoms
Headaches around temples, ear aches or ear pressure, Tinnitus, jaw tenderness or pain, grinding, popping or clicking when opening or closing the mouth, radiating pain to the face, shoulders, neck temples, limited ROM with opening/closing or lateral deviation of the jaw, the jaw feeling stuck.

TMJD causes
Trauma, stress, tongue position, posture, habits like gum chewing, arthritis, bruxism, malocclusion/misaligned bite.

How Massage Can help
Massage can help release tightened muscles in the face, head, neck and mouth that contribute to the dysfunction, pulling the jaw out of alignment. When we release the overly contracted muscles; over time balance will be restored. We can also address the body and lines of tension.

Synergy TMJD Facial
Synergy TMJ/TMD- Treatment meets luxury. We target all of the muscles in the face that tighten contribute to jaw dysfunction, headaches, clicking, and puffiness; utilizing high end spa facial products as our medium. Throughout the experience you'll be massaged with all of the products in a facial. I'll custom pick the products based on your concerns.
This treatment begins with lymphatic drainage, cupping and myofascial release to the face. Then progressing to deeper kneading and flowing into Buccal massage (intra oral) massage. Buccal massage and facial sculpting massage are high in demand due to the beauty benefits they provide. If after a few treatments you notice you start to look younger or more sculpted it's only as a biproduct of the revived health of the muscle tissue that's been released, and increased restriction free blood flow. The premium organic, Canadian skincare might help a little too. ;)
Let's see how much better we can make you feel.
A 30 min treatment may will only work the external face. neck, head and pecs.
A 60 minute treatment is meant to only target the muscles of the the face, neck, head and pecs.
90 minute or 120 minute Synergy Massage could also be good options to have ample time to address both the facial/oral tension and the body.
At your intake I will assess your posture and help create a plan. Sometimes with TMJ/TMD we need to address other areas of the body that may be contributing to the issue such as pecs, upper back, and glutes.
